I think, rather than having an uninvolved party report it, the prospective new owners could have dealt with it themselves. The report by an uninvolved third party cost her the sale when the prospective buyers didn't seem to have an issue with it. And don't say that the uninvolved third party was looking out for the safety of the prospective buyers, because someone could also fall down the stairs, making stairs a hazard, too. It makes me wonder why someone not involved in any way would report this.
